The Brief
The client had inherited the tarmac frontage when they moved in to the property 20 years ago, which had served as useful parking whilst family were at home with additional cars. They still wanted parking for at least 3 cars, pathways to service the two pedestrian gates, and no lawn.

The New Design
The lovely tile detail set into the house brick work was echoed into the hard landscaping and broke up the gravel path to the front door. Granite sets were chosen to contain the gravel, as well as introduce circles within the design. A dark stone with bullnose edges provided a substantial, welcoming front door step. These photographs were taken immediately after completion, and will be updated in the summer of 2011. See More Front Gardens
