Lodge House Main Garden
The Brief
The beautiful Lodge, although set in mature surroundings, had almost no colour in the garden beyond late spring. The brief therefore was for plenty of seasonal colour. The clients also request some form of "formality" within the layout.
The New Design
The patio and pathways areas needed to be sizable to be in scale with the house, to help anchor it within the plot. With plenty of shrubs already surrounding the garden, the emphasis was on perennial planting, however the lines of box balls add just a little formality to the scheme leading into the lawn areas.
