Anne Massey gained certification by the Royal Horticultural Society after studying the RHS General Certificate in Horticulture.

As well as winning awards for their own garden including Semi Finalists BBC Gardener of year 2001, Anne and her husband John have had their garden featured in several national magazines. Garden photographer and writer Nicola Stocken Tomkins has spent many hours photographing the Masseys garden and more recently Acorn Garden Services clients gardens as they mature.

Anne and John have also opened their own garden for charity for many years through the National Garden Scheme as well as the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Trust. They meet many of their future clients at their open days, who after visiting, have been inspired to transform their own gardens, but need Anne and John's help.   Visitors to the garden have included groups of garden tour visitors from Belgium, America and even Japan who have included the Masseys garden as part of their tour of some of the best known gardens in the south of England. Anne, the designer in the team, with many years of practical experience, has added to her wealth of knowledge by attending short courses with many of the country's top garden designers including "Garden Design" and "Designing with Plants" with Robin Williams and Robin Templar Williams at RHS Gardens Wisley and The English School of Gardening in Chelsea.

Other planting workshops and short course she has attended have been with other well known designers including Sarah Raven, Dan Pearson, Cleve West, Fergus Garrett (of Great Dixter) and garden writer Noel Kingsbury.

She has also lectured to fellow garden designers on the subject of "Running a Successful Garden Design Practice". 

John, who project manages the hard landscaping aspect of the business, has many building talents and evidence of those can be clearly appreciated in our Hard Landscaping page

Anne and John continue to be successful because of their care and attention to detail. Every project is personally undertaken by themselves and their many testimonials  confirm their professionalism.    They operate only very locally around their home town of Wokingham, Berkshire, typically in Wokingham itself, Bracknell, Crowthorne, Reading, Binfield, Shinfield, Swallowfield, Wargrave and Twyford.
